Tobi - Guarding my Leg

Tobi - Guarding my Leg

When I ruptured my achilles tendon, my love machine dog, Tobi, would not leave my side. She simply sat at my feet and guarded my cast.

A beautiful Storm

16 05 2009

Today, it is raining. It can’t always be sunny. A long term customer “Barney”, asked Maggie to post a picture of a rainy day … well … we don’t keep that many pictures of rainy days … So, we have asked Barney to get us a picture of himself – soaking we – and we can post it.

We held a few tournaments the first week of fishing at Diamond Key Lodge.  The winners were Dave Wiens and Ed Lucchetta … Dave had the biggest Pike and the Lucchetta father/son team caught the most Pike.

Last year, David Wiens caught his first Pike at Diamond Key.  So, we invited him back … apparently, he has been secretly practicising.  Quietly honing his skills.

I’ve been in a cast for over 5 weeks … with a ruptured achilles tendon.  It has been a real challenge to stay “sane” while sitting with my foot up in the air.

Here is a picture of me in happier times, in my Geisler, fishing … great thoughts … I can’t do any type of sports for at least a year, so fishing is my friend for 2009.  I just love these wood boats … too much maintenance, but beautiful for fishing …
