Kicking off this category by answering a question about our fishing season for Walleye.
We are very luck that the Walleye season opens in our area on May 1st. We are located at the mouth of the Key River, and fish the outlets of the Key, Pickerel and French River Delta. Literally thousands of islands. In many parts of Ontario, the fishing season for Walleye does not start until the latter part of May. However, we can fish starting May 1st, with slot size restrictions. At this time, the fishing is great. Actually, fishing for Walleye is great May and June, and as the summer goes on, we start to fish more into the evening time.
