This is a forum to tell us about your trips/routes that you love on the Georgian Bay? Where did you start? Where did you end? What were the highlights?
Of course, it would be great if you started at the Key (laugh), but seriously, we want to know about all the great places to Kayak and Canoe on the Georgian Bay.
The Georgian Bay Islands are pretty much paradise for Kayakers. There are so many wonderful spots to Kayak, incredible scenery and sunsets that are incredible. We are hoping to get experience from Kayakers who might share their favourite routes, send in pictures or provide comments on equipment, gear or good times. We do offer Kayak rentals, but only for day trips for those staying at the Lodge. However, White Squall Kayaks run adventure tours out of our lodge; we are really in a great spot for georgian bay day trips, but staying in a cabin at night. If you go to http://www.whitesquall.com, they have a listing of their trips using Diamond Key in 2009. They have five that range from Yoga, to Biosphere to painting …
Kayaking the 30,000 Islands of the Georgian Bay is one of the most rewarding trips you can take. The landscape, wildlife, sunsets and water conditions are perfect for short and longer stay trips. Diamond Key Lodge was the perfect stopover place along the journey. Thanks!
